Over 1,000 trees planted in Irish soil!

We partnered with Irish tree planting charity Easy Treesie on this project… their goal is to plant 1 million trees in Ireland by 2023! Read more at:

Here are just some of the reasons trees are so important when it comes to sustainability

Filtration

Trees act as a physical filter, trapping dust and absorbing pollutants from the air. This makes the air we breath a whole lot healthier. Did you know that research has shown that after just a couple of minutes being surrounded by trees your blood pressure drops, your heart rate slows and your stress levels come down.

Carbon Off-Setting

By absorbing carbon dioxide from the air, trees can help slow the rate of global warming. They reduce wind speeds and can reduce the temperature in a city by up to 7 degrees. Trees also help prevent flooding and soil erosion by absorbing 1,000’s of litres of stormwater.

Wildlife

Trees play host to many complex habitats. In their younger years they offer habitation and food to communities of birds, insects, fungi and much more! Older trees have trunks that can provide hollow over for a wide range of species.

Community

Trees strengthen the identity of a locality and encourage a pride of place. Woodland can be used as an educational resource to bring the community together on initiatives like bird watching and walking.
